On Saturday, October 27, 2001 the Dondero High School Marching Band will
participate in the Durand Band Invitational held at Durand High School. The contest will
begin at 2:00 and includes 26 bands. The contest will end around 9:45.

Adult tickets for the show will be sold through Mr.Foreman during the week and on
Saturday before we leave. Tickets are $5, and the proceeds help repay the $150 entry fee
that the band has to pay for the contest. Checks should be made payable to Dondero
Band and Orchestra Boosters.

The following is the tentative time schedule for Saturday:

10:45- Full Band- warm-up & run throughs
11:30- Load Buses & Truck
12:00- Leave for Durand ***Bring a bag lunch***
1:45 - Arrive at Durand, unload buses, go to homeroom
2:25 - Warm Up
2:55 - Report to Gate
3:00 - Performance
3:30 - Watch remaining Flight III and II performances
5:30 - Awards Ceremony for Flights III and II
5:45 - Go to homeroom to change
6:00 - Watch remaining Flight I & IV performances ***Bring $$$ for dinner***
9:45 - Flight I & IV awards
9:30 - Clear out homeroom, load buses
10:00- Depart for home
11:45- Arrive back at Dondero (just remember...you get the extra hour of sleep this weekend!)

Thank you all so much for the support in Lamphere. The band and I appreciate it very
much. As you probably have heard, this weekend's performance in Durand is an
important one for us. The band and I really want to have one last really strong
performance. I know that Durand is not just down the street and it is a longer day, but it
would mean a lot to see you in the crowd.
