Dondero High School Marching Band

Dondero Marching Band Parents:

On Saturday, September 22, 2001 the Dondero High School Marching Band will
participate in the Laker Invitational held at West Bloomfield High School. The contest
will begin at 6:00pm. This is a smaller show, and there are only 13 bands performing in
total. We will be staying through the end of the show. The awards ceremony is at
9:30pm.

Thank you for coming out to Novi this last week. We hope that everyone can make it out
to see us again. Adult tickets will be sold through Mr. Foreman during the week and on
Saturday before we leave. Tickets are $5.00, and the proceeds help repay the $150 entry fee
that the band has to pay for the contest. Checks should be made payable to Dondero
Band and Orchestra Boosters.

Before we leave on Saturday, Boosters will be providing dinners for everyone who is
interested. Your student will either have to bring a dinner from home "box lunch" style,
or they may eat what the Boosters provide (subs or pizza). To cover the cost, we are
asking each student to bring $3 for their dinner, if they are eating what is provided. So
we can have an accurate count on how many people will be taking advantage of this,
please let Mr. Foreman know by Friday if your student will be purchasing a meal.

The following is the tentative time schedule for Saturday:

12:30- Pit & Battery Rehearsal
1:30 - Full Band Rehearsal
4:00 - Dinner Break
4:45 - Load Buses/Leave for West Bloomfield
5:30 - Arrive/Unload
6:00 - Home Room
6:30 - Warm Up
7:10 - Report to Gate
7:15 - Performance
8:00 - Watch remaining performances
9:30 - Awards Ceremony
10:15- Leave for Dondero
10:45- Arrive at Dondero
