Dondero High School Marching Band

Dondero Marching Band Parents:

On Saturday, October 28, 2000, the Dondero High School Marching Band will
participate in the Durand Band Invitational held at Durand High School. The contest will
begin at 2:15 and includes 23 bands. The contest will end around 9:30.

Adult tickets for the show will be sold through Mr. Foreman during the week and on
Saturday before we leave. Tickets are $5.00,and the proceeds help repay the $150.00 entry fee
that the band has to pay for the contest. Checks should be made payable to Dondero
Band and Orchestra Boosters.

The following is the tentative time schedule for Saturday:

10:00 - Rehearsal at Dondero
11:30- Load truck & Lunch Break
12:20- Load Buses
12:50- Leave for Durand
1:20 - Arrive at Durand, unload buses, go to homeroom
2:50 - Warm Up
3:25 - Report to gate
3:30 - Performance
4:00 - Watch remaining Flight II performances
5:15 - Awards Ceremony for Flight III & II
5:30 - Go to homeroom to change, eat
6:00 - Watch remaining Flight I & IV performances
9:15 - Flight I & IV awards
9:30 - Clear out homeroom, load Buses
10:00- Depart for home
11:30- Arrive back at Dondero

Thank you all so much for the support in Plymouth. The band and I appreciate it very
much. We were well received by everyone there. This weekend in Durand is an
important contest for us. As I'm sure you know by now, this show is what will make or
break our chances of going back to states. I know that it is not as close as the other
competitions, and it is a longer day, but it is very important that we have a good turn out
for this show. Hope to see you there.
