On Saturday, October 4, 2003, the Dondero High School Marching Band will participate
in the Linden Invitational held at Linden High School. The contest will begin at 2:00 and
includes 20 bands in four different flights, 11 of which are in Flight III!

Adult tickets may be purchased for $5.00 and will be available from Mr.
Foreman the week of the competition. Tickets purchased in advance will help repay the
Boosters the $150 registration fee for the contest. If tickets are purchased from the band,
checks should be made payable to Dondero Band and Orchestra Boosters.

The following is the tentative time schedule for Saturday:

2:00 - Rehearsal and Run Throughs
4:00 - Load truck
4:30 - Load Buses
4:45 - Depart for Linden
6:00 - Unload truck, go to home rooms, dinner, change into uniforms
7:00 - Warm Up
7:55 - Gate report time
8:00 - Performance
9:00 - Awards
9:30 - Load Busses and leave for Dondero
10:45- Arrive back to Dondero

This is going to be a huge competition for our flight and it should be interesting to see
how things stack up, since over half of the flight will be there. Come out and check out
the completed show for the first time. Plus, seeing us play under the lights at a
competition is rare and pretty cool to see.

Hope to see you all there. The students really need your encouragement and support.
Just think, October is already here...November 1st will come faster than you would
expect.
