On Saturday, November 1, 2003 the Dondero High School Marching Band will
participate in the Michigan Competing Band Association State Finals!. The contest will
begin at 9:50am and includes 40 bands, 10 from each Flight. The contest will end around
10:45pm.

All tickets for this show are available at the Silverdome Box Office (248-456-1600) or at
the NORTH TICKET BOOTH the day of the competition. All spectators should enter
the Silverdome parking lot through GATE #5 and park in the NORTH and EAST lots.
Take note: These are different gates this year, since they have put a drive-in movie
theater in the parking lot. Adult tickets are $14 and Student/Senior tickets are $10.
Tickets include the Silverdome parking fees. Be sure to have your hand stamped if you
leave and plan on re-entering the dome.

The list of what can and cannot be brought into the Silverdome is quite lengthy. To make
things easier, if you do not take any carry in items, they have "express" lanes at the gate.
Otherwise, there will be inspection of any and all items brought into the dome. Video
cameras and other recording devices are not allowed at this competition. Things that can
be brought in are: fanny packs, hand bags (no larger than 8 1/2" x 11"), small binoculars,
small cameras (no detachable lenses allowed), and cell phones. If you have any other

under "Security".

The following is the tentative time schedule for Saturday:

11:30- Full Band Rehearsal/Run Through
1:15 - Load truck, Eat Lunch, Change into Uniforms
2:15 - Leave for Silverdome
2:45 - Arrive at Silverdome, unload truck
3:15 - Outdoor Warm-Up
3:40 - Warm-up in Bubble
3:45 - Report to Top of Ramp
4:05 - Indoor Warm-Up
4:35 - Report to Air Lock
4:50 - Performance
5:10 - Take props and instruments back to busses/truck
5:30 - Watch remaining Flight III performances
7:05 - Flight III awards
7:30 - Load buses
8:00 - Depart for home
8:30 - Arrive back at Dondero

We will be having a group lunch of some sorts at Dondero before we leave. This will be
either a potluck lunch, or we will be getting subs or pizza for the students to purchase at a
reduced price. This will be decided and figured out by Wednesday, so stay tuned.
